Visa application can be submitted in person by the Applicant
only.
Please note that
ALL persons travelling must be present at the
time of application.
Processed applications can also be returned by DX Securemail courier at an extra cost of 8.90 per passport.
Applicants have the option of paying their visa fees by Credit/Debit card (only
at the Visa Application Centre) or Postal Orders in the name of "Italy Visa
Application Centre". Fees in Cash will also be accepted. Cheques will not be
accepted.
PLEASE NOTE:
From 27 May to 16 June 2013, the Italian Consulate in London will move to the new premises in Farringdon.
During this period of time, the Italian Visa Office will not be able to operate in its full capacity.
Delays in booking appointments and issuing visas must be expected.

Schengen Visa Information:
A Schengen visa has to be obtained from the Embassy of the country where the
MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before
applying at the Italy Visa Application Centre in London
In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please apply to the Embassy
of the country where you will be staying for the maximum number of days. If the
number of days to be spent in multiple countries is the same, you must apply to
the embassy of the country which will be your first point of entry.
Please note that the above rule applies only in the case of a single, consecutive trip to multiple Schengen countries, it does not apply to separate trips to either one or more countries. If you are planning on separate trips to one or more countries, you must apply to the embassy of your first port of entry.
If you plan to apply for a Schengen visa at the Italy Visa Application
Centre, your main destination and the maximum period of stay in the Schengen
States must be in Italy only. Please provide proof to support this information.
Please note that all decisions regarding the issuance of, the duration and number of entries for a visa are at the sole discretion of the Consulate General of Italy.

Along with the visa fees, there is a service charge of £24.00 (inclusive of
VAT) applicable per visa application.
Coin -operated Photocopier and Photo Booth are available for your use at the
centre, should you require it.
Note:
- All Fees (Visa, Service and Courier) for applications submitted in Manchester & Cardiff can be paid by Credit/Debit card, or in the form of a Postal order payable to 'The Italian visa Application Centre'. We regret that cash/ cheques cannot be accepted.
- Applications submitted in Manchester & Cardiff will incur a mandatory courier charge of £ 14.80.
- For applicants who are minors, a full birth certificate, a letter of consent for the minor to travel, signed by both parents, . as well as copies of the signed parents' passports are required. Both parents must sign the application form.
- Passport and UK residence permit have to be valid for at least three months beyond the requested stay in the Schengen area.
- Your UK permit must be valid for at least three months after your departure from the Schengen area.
- All supporting documents have to be submitted together and in duplicate (original and photocopy).

Travel facilities for school pupils
According to the Decision of the European Council of 30.11.1994, based on
Article K.3.2.b of the European Union Treaty :
A Member State shall not require a visa for a school pupil who is not a
national of a Member State but who is legally resident in another Member State
and who seeks to enter its territory either for a short stay or transit, if the
following conditions are fulfilled:

In the framework of a school excursion, the school pupil is travelling as a
member of a group of a school pupils from a general education school;
-
The group is accompanied by a teacher from the school in question;
-
The accompanying teacher must be able to present a list (on the accepted form)
of the schoolchildren he/she is accompanying, issued by the school in question;

The list must contain the names of ALL travelling pupils;
-
The list must describe the purpose and the circumstances of the intended stay;
-
The pupils from third countries must be in possession of a travel document for
crossing the border in question.
